SA: More than 2 000 arrested for breaking lockdown laws

More than 2 000 people have been arrested for violating the lockdown regulations n South Africa.

Police Minister Bheki Cele has urged citizens to follow the rules imposed to stop the spread of COVID-19 or face the law.

While inspecting a vehicle checkpoint operation in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, Mr Cele confirmed that more than 2 000 arrests had been made in 4 days.
