Zambia coronavirus cases rise up to 12

On Wednesday Zambia stated that coronavirus cases in the country have risen to 12.

President Edgar Lungu said 11 of 12 patients have recently traveled to and acquired the disease from abroadwhile one was infected locally.

All patients have been quarantined, according to the president.

The Zambian government has suspended landing of airplanes in three of the country’s international airports, asked its embassies to review the issuance of visas for people wanting to travel to Zambia, especially in countries with high risks of COVID-19 contamination.

It has also closed all bars, gyms, casinos, suspended non-essential foreign travel, particularly to countries with confirmed COVID-19 cases.
