In the first case reported in Limpopo, a father of four murdered his children in the vicinity of Burgersfort. In the second separate case in Mpumalanga, an elderly woman has been detained after attacking her 6-year-old grandson with an axe.
The Limpopo man will appear in court in Limpopo being charged with the murders of his four young children.
According to the police spokesperson, Mothafela Mojapelo, their mutilated bodies were discovered in two locations in the Ga-Phasha Selatole village on Tuesday.
“The three children were stabbed with a sharp object and the youngest one had an open wound indicating that he must have been attacked with a blunt object,” the police officials revealed.
The second separate attack on child occurred when an elderly woman assaulted her 6-year-old grandson with the axe in Mpumalanga. Luckily the little boy survived the attack and now he is in hospital under close medical surveillance.
He was taken to a local hospital after being found with hack wounds hiding in his classroom on Friday.
His grandmother appeared in the local court earlier on Thursday where she was released on R500 bail.
