Libyan Government suspends participation in UN military talks

Following the Libyan National Army violation of the ceasefire agreement in Tripoli, the UN-backed Libyan government headed by Faiez Serraj released it will suspend its participation in the 5+5 Libya Military talks held in Geneve.

The Government of National Accord (GNA) further added the constant bombing of Tripoli port and other civilian areas is set to create a crisis and instability in Libya. It said that these actions by the Hafter forces follow their military failure to capture Tripoli. It further denounced Hafter’s offensive and his disregard of the UN Security Council resolutions, the agreed armistice and the Berlin conference results.
