Yesterday night, a bus travelling from Inkomo Barracks to Norton with about 30 Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) officers on board ended up on its side after its driver had lost control while descending a slope near Kuwadzana 6.
According to deputy director military police Lieutenant Colonel Velancio Gotami, 11 officers were injured, 5 of them critically. They were all transported to the Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals and others to the Josiah Magama Tongogara Barracks (formerly KG VI).
“We were fortunate that most passengers had dropped in town and others along the way before the accident occurred. By the time the bus got here, it had about 30 passengers on board,” Lt Col Gotami stated.
