The first incident became fatal for a civilian who was allegedly on his way from Kas to Um Laouta northwards from Kas on Sunday. The armed herdsmen had opened a sporadic fire and fatally wounded the villager, he died on the scene.
The same armed group then attacked the medics of a vaccination campaign while on their way from Kendbi to Bir Dagheq. According to the eyewitnesses, one man had been wounded and transported to Khartoum in critical condition for treatment.
Another shooting had occurred in the village of Corky on Sunday morning in which two men, identified as Adam Ishaq and Tendale Ishaq, had been seriously injured and then transferred to the hospital of El Geneina.
