Two persons, allegedly Indian nationals, have been found dead both with multiple stab wounds lying in the sand dunes near Durban’s Suncoast Casino, the police confirmed on Monday afternoon.
It is said the couple was apparently found by a local plastic and cardboard seller walking in the dunes at Suncoast. He spotted the two bodies lying on the sand with the knife sticking out of one of the deceased’s chest.
SAPS spokesperson Col Thembeka Mbele advised the man had immediately run to the Durban Central police station to report his discovery.
According to Mbele the male victim’s identity was known to the police.
The authorities are on the scene investigating the matter.
