Late Mugabe’s family business to be pushed from Mazowe Estate?

The inhabitants of Mazowe Estate, evicted from their lands in favor of the late former President Robert Mugabe’s family business, have appealed to the High Court. Now that he is dead, the citizens want to restore justice and evict the ex-First Family ‘s business, Gushungo Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, from this place.

One of the affected citizens, a miner, filed the petition with the court two weeks after another miner had also petitioned the court to evict Grace Mugabe, along with two other individuals, identified in the court documents as Tongai and Jemwa from Mazowe Citrus Estate.

“The applicant was unlawfully chased from his two blocks of mines Iron Mask 68 and 69 in Iron Mask Estate in Mazowe, where he has been lawfully mining and is being denied the right by the respondent (Gushungo Holdings), who is acting unlawfully and without a court order authorising him to act in that manner,” the petition read.
