The body of a 31-year-old man has been found in Peddie. The man was allegedly hitchhiking to his house from Grahamstown.
According to police spokesperson Captain Mali Govender, Melumzi Maku was found dead on the N2. The man had been run over by an unknown vehicle. The police have opened a case of culpable homicide.
“Several enquiries have been made and no positive information was received. A piece of a vehicle was retrieved from the crime scene.”
