On Monday, an Indonesian search-and-rescue agency reported that two tourists, one of whom is a South African citizen, have died after an alleged boat accident on the weekend.
Apparently the tourists were on their Bali vacation when the boat they were travelling on capsized in rough seas near Bali.
The small tourist vessel flipped near the treacherous Devil’s Tear cove on Nusa Lembongan, east of the Indonesian holiday island.
The two victims were identified as a 48-year-old Brazilian and a 43-year-old South African. Both of them passed away in local hospital for the injuries they had sustained.
It is known that the boat’s captain, aged 35, has survived the accident and now is in hospital in serious but stable condition.
