A massive 5 metre long serpent was hiding from the animal emergency service specialists after it had killed a cat of the Chiang Mai residents on Friday last week.
A family’s house worker discovered the dead cat just metres away from an apartment block in a northern Thailand city.
The man was frightened by what he saw and immediately suspected it had been strangled by a snake. He called the emergency service to the scene.
The discovered python was resting under a muddy slab surrounded by cockroaches, lizards and mosquitoes.
It took almost 30 minutes to capture the animal, which weighed 20kg. It was then put into a sack and released in the nearby woods.
