Police seized weapons and dagga during searches in EC schools

The Eastern Cape police have held a number of school searches which resulted in the seizure of several dangerous weapons and dagga on Wednesday.

Captain Ursula Roelofse confirmed that two schools, Elliot High School and Masikhuthale Public School, were under suspicion of the authorities.

The police officers managed to impound a large number of weapons including handcrafted knives. According to Roelfse, some packs of dagga were also confiscated there.

The headmasters were advised to ensure that their schools’ safety projects improved, she said.

During the search, various dangerous weapons and dagga were confiscated.
