The SAPS Flying Squad members have detained two men on the N2. They are suspected of drug dealing.
According to police spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge, the officers spotted a suspicious silver Nissan Almera. During the search of the vehicle, the police found 50 plastic bags containing 1, 500 mandrax tablets with an estimated value of R5 million.
Two suspects, aged 45 and 26, were arrested. They are expected to appear in the Alexandria Magistrates’ Court on August 19.
