The Garankuwa magistrates’ court convicted a man of three counts of child molestation and rape and sentenced him to life imprisonment on Tuesday.
The so-called “reign of terror” happened in 2016 when the 41-year-old Pretoria men, named Mavhusha Livhuwani Vincent, raped three children, aged between 9 and 12. And these are just the cases that the rapist was convicted of. It is alleged that he had committed at least nine counts of child rape.
“Nine cases of child rape were reported to police in Loate, Tshwane north,” police spokesperson Brig Mathapelo Peters confirmed in a statement.
A tireless work of the investigators and the prosecution were highly praised by Gauteng police commissioner Lt-Gen Elias Mawela.
