Dead woman’s body found in uninhabited house in Tongaat

A woman believed in her twenties had been presumably raped and murdered before the villains dumped her body in a deserted house in Tongaat, north of Durban. Her body was found by the local residents on Sunday.

According to provincial police spokesperson Captain Nqobile Gwala, the woman’s dead body was reported discovered by the community members at 11:30am near Watson Highway. The unidentified woman was found half-naked in the old abandoned house.

It was reported that the woman had been raped and strangled but the police have not confirm this information so far.

The Tongaat SAPS initiated a case of premeditated murder due to the discovery. The forensic experts are working to determine the exact cause of death.
