Two teens detained after hijacking

The police officers have arrested two teenagers in Cape Town after they allegedly hijacked a car.

According to police spokesperson Lt Col Andrè Traut, the suspects were arrested 10 minutes after they had stolen the car.

“The vicinity was patrolled, and the vehicle was spotted and stopped in Market Road, Philippi East,” he stated.

One of the suspects managed to run away but two other perpetrators, aged 15 and 17, were detained.

The suspects are expected to appear in court.
