Richards Bay man survives after robbers put eight bullets in his body

A 58-year-old panel beater from Richards Bay had been shot eight times during a home invasion but managed to survive.

According to the reports, the victim was resting at his house together with his nephew when several armed criminals broke into the building. Pointing guns at the owner, they took several valuable goods, including a very expensive TV, and fled the scene.

“The complainant alleged he later realised that his uncle was shot multiple times in his hand and leg. He was taken to hospital for medical attention,” KZN police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane stated.

The man was rushed to hospital, his condition was considered to be critical.

The officers are now on the manhunt for the suspects, no arrests have been made yet.
