The police officers have arrested a woman who was travelling by a minibus taxi in Tambosa. The woman was armed with two guns.
Johannesburg Metro Police Department officers, Edenvale police, and Fidelity’s Specialised Response Unit members stopped the bus in Edenvale.
During the inspection, the officers found that the woman was in possession of two unlicensed firearms and two bags of what was believed to be crystal meth.
According to Fidelity ADT Community Development Manager Renee Basson, the woman was arrested on the scene.
“This is a real coup. We all have a zero tolerance towards illegal drugs and weapons which can so easily find themselves into our community and into the hands of our young people“.
