A 28-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing three people in Gingindlovu. He will face charges of murder, attempted murder, and robbery.
According to the KwaZulu-Natal police’s statement, the man was detained on Wednesday by Gingindlovu detectives and the National Intervention Unit officers.
“He was wanted for murder cases committed in Gingindlovu this year. It is alleged, during March 2019, at Ezimpongo in Gingindlovu three people were shot while at their homestead. Two of the victims were injured while Mbhekiseni Ndlovu (60) was declared dead at the scene.”
The suspect made his appearance in the Ntuzuma Magistrates’ Court for possession of firearms and ammo.
The man was allegedly driving to Gingindlovu on the R66 road. He was stopped by two hitchhikers. Upon arrival at Wombane, one of the suspects robbed the victim of his firearm.
