KwaZulu-Natal businesswoman has been attacked by a group of unidentified men and then abducted on Thursday afternoon in Pinetown.
The authorities said that Sandra Moonsamy was driving on the Stapleton Road when three vehicles allegedly forced the victim’s black Range Rover to the roadside blocking her way. The eyewitnesses say there was a silver Volkswagen Golf, a white hatchback BWM and a bakkie involved in the incident.
The suspects rushed to her vehicle and at gunpoint ordered the woman to open the doors and step outside. She apparently refused and the assailants fired two shots to the driver’s side window and smashed the passenger’s one with the butt of a firearm. The woman was then dragged out of her vehicle, forced into one of the villains’ cars and taken to an unknown destination.
According to the statement made by Reaction Unit SA (RUSA), a passing security vehicle attempted to follow the suspects and was fired at. The victim’s handbag and phone were left on the scene.
The Westville resident has not been seen or heard of since. The reaction officers and police are following up on all leads.
