Post mortem shows zero results after journalist’s body found next to N1

Free state detectives were baffled when the post mortem of a recently found local journalist produced inconclusive results.

41-year-old award-winning specialist Junior Bonase, who served as a senior journalist at Dumelang News, was found dead on Thursday morning.  The locals discovered the body of the deceased lying on the side of N1 highway at Heuningspruit, about 240 kilometres from Bloemfontein.

According to the reports, his face was partly damaged, however, the police is currently unable to determine the exact cause of death.

“Other samples have been referred for forensic tests,” the official statement from the police read.

It is confirmed that the next post mortem will be conducted on Monday.
