An ex-operations manager at the Glenanda clinic has been arrested by the police officers for stealing a computer.
According to Mayor Herman Mashaba, the suspect is now detained at the Mondeor police station.
“I am disappointed to learn that there are still people in the system who are still involved or engaged in corrupt activities. This is despite the fact that we continuously educate employees about fraud and corruption. We have zero tolerance for corruption,” the mayor stated.
The suspect was arrested after the GFIS had received a tip-off. The accused sold the computer to the pawn shop in Rosettenville.
The GFIS members went to the shop and identified the computer.
