The 35-year-old man, believed to have killed Matwetwe lead actor Sibusiso Khwinana, will appear in the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
The accused has already made his first appearance, however, the case was postponed in order to hold an identification parade. According to Riaan du Plessis, the suspect’s lawyer, the procedure has not been done yet.
The court also granted an order prohibiting the media from naming the suspect as it would severely harm the investigation process.
In March, 25-year-old Khwinana received a fatal stab wound while attempting to fight a robber. After killing the actor, the perpetrator took his cellphone and speedily left the scene. Later, the police officers found evidence that the attack was performed by one of the local residents.
