Golden Arrow Bus on fire in CT Bus terminal

A Golden Arrow bus caught fire at the CT Bus Terminal. The incident has happened on Thursday afternoon.

“The Fire Department is on the scene and the fire has been extinguished,” said Bronwen Dyke-Beyer, Golden Arrow Bus Services spokesperson.

Dyke-Beyer also stated the cause of the incident has not been determined yet. No injuries have been reported.

According to the City Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson Jermaine Carelse, the incident has been confirmed, but the reason is unknown.

“Fire Fighters were called out at 14:22 to a bus alight in Castle Street, Cape Town CBD. Currently there are three fire engines, a rescue vehicle and 17 staff on scene battling the blaze. No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is unknown,” Carelse said.
