Two alleged fraudsters arrested in relation to Pastor Lukau’s ‘resurrection’ stunt

Two men were arrested on fraud charges in connection with the viral “resurrection” video showing pastor Alph Lukau at a church service returning Zimbabwean known as Brighton Moyo from the dead.

According to reports, the suspects — 40-year-old Silungisan Grace Sibanda and 35-year-old Nkululeko Dlamini — have already appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court and ruled to stay behind bars until the next hearing.

“The State needs to verify the citizenship status of one of the suspects. His South African ID has one name while his passport has another name,” Prosecutor Mzamo Mathe explained.

The exact cause of the trial, however, remains sketchy as no commentaries on the situation have been released yet.  The suspects’ next appearance is scheduled to April 26.
