KwaZulu-Natal Cogta office set on fire by protesters

KwaZulu-Natal Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs office has been burned down on Thursday morning.

The building was set on fire by the protesters, described as land invaders and informal shack dwellers.

According to the CoGTA spokesman Lennox Mabaso, it is believed that the arson was related to a public protest due to government’s crackdown on lawlessness.

It is also reported that the office was attacked two days ago when the protesters threw a petrol bomb and stones as well as blocked the road for the vehicles.
