Another victim of taxi violence in Cape Town

One more taxi incident took place in Brooklyn, Cape Town on Wednesday evening. An Uber taxi driver had passed away on the scene after he was stabbed by his passengers.

It is reported that the man, believed to be an Uber driver, was stabbed to death in his vehicle.

“The circumstances surrounding the death of a taxi driver are being investigated by Maitland police following an incident last night at around 20:35 in Van Riebeeck Street, Brooklyn,” stated Lieutenant Colonel Andrè Traut on Thursday.

“The unknown taxi driver was stabbed to death inside his vehicle during an apparent argument with two male suspects who are yet to be arrested,” he added.

Journalists have already addressed Uber officials asking for a comment. The inquiry has not been responded yet.
