A 61-year old man is reported to be in a critical condition after he was shot during an incident in peak-hour morning traffic in Pinetown on Friday morning.
By the Rescue Care paramedics’ statement, an elderly man was urgently taken to the intensive care unit right from the scene. He is said to have sustained critical gunshot wounds. According to the alleged information, the taxi driver shot and left him on the road after a blazing row. Then the shooter fled the scene.
“Paramedics are currently on the scene of a road rage incident in the Pinetown area, on Otto Volek Road, near the M19,” the Rescue Care spokesman Garrith Jamieson said.
He also added the man was wounded at close range. The ambulance crew had to perform emergency resuscitation before they were able to take him away from the scene.
The police have yet to report any information about this case.
