A fourth suspect has been arrested by the local police department in connection with the deadly armed attack at Edenvale High School.
Two suspects were killed and three others were arrested in the shootout at the school yesterday. At the moment one of the arrested men remains under police guard in a hospital because of serious wounds.
As a SAPS spokesperson Sgt Jacob Mashile said, the robbers used AK47s and handguns in the attack at Edenvale High School. Police spokesperson Kay Makhubele said the department had found the suspect around the school with the two unlicensed firearms.
The police urged the public to be careful and assist with any information on the alleged criminals.
The educational institution remains closed today. The school tests have been moved to the next week.
