A terrible finding shocked the Gauteng public.
The Gauteng police department is investigating a murder case after a body of a 42-year-old woman from Dowerglen was found on Tuesday.
Police found her body in a suitcase slightly covered with earth on the side of the R511 road in Pretoria West.
“It can be confirmed that the deceased was reported missing on February 18 at Edenvale SAPS,” SAPS spokesperson Brig Mathapelo Peters said.
According to Peters, thanks to the cooperation of the police from Limpopo and Gauteng, along with Tracker, the police discovered a partially burned-out Mercedes Benz earlier. The car belonged to the murdered woman.
“On February 19, Sergeant Henning of Pretoria K9 Unit employed the services of search-and-rescue dog Tyson to search for the woman,” Peters said.
The motive for the murder is yet to be determined.
