Watch your cellphone while cycling

A robbery case is under the Port Elizabeth’s police investigation in which a cyclist was knocked off his bicycle and then mugged of his cell phone.

The incident allegedly happened at around 6.30am at the corner of Cows Corner and Kragga Kamma Road in the Colleen Glen area.

“The robbers drives a white VW Jetta,” the police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg warned all cyclists in town.

According to Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg statement, the robbers supposedly watched their victim for a while, and then taking a moment, one of them knocked the cyclist to the ground, took advantage of his confusion and grabbed his cell phone.

The criminals fled the scene in the direction of Seaview.
