According to the spokesperson of Gauteng police department Capt Amanda Vriede, officers are investigating a case of robbery of large numerous expensive equipment. As reported by officers four suspects broke into the Gauteng department of education district and held at gunpoint several security workers.
About the circumstances of the robbery reported police officer:
“Thereafter, the suspects proceeded to the second floor where they used a crowbar to break into the office there and stole 40 computer boxes, 16 monitors, data projectors, CD writers, a plasma TV, and extension cords.”
Fortunately, there was no information about killed and injured victims.
“The department is reviewing the current security measures and if need be, additional security upgrades will be put in place.”
