In 2017 year were missed approximately 597 women in Gauteng’s provinces. Nowadays we know fate only for 151 of them.
Gauteng community safety MEC Sizakele Malibane tried to shed light. She said that investigation of those missings is under control of the police.
On the other hand, spokesperson of the police Brigadier Mathapelo reported:
“the force could not “confirm or dispute what the MEC has said whether in a report or in an interview. She has a spokesperson who should be able to substantiate”.
Despite different opinions about a problem, Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane said her department remained committed to creating a safer environment for citizens, in particular women and children.
